Samples Floor Design And Production 22m2 / Tel aviv - Yafo, Israel / 2016 Ph: Yoav Peled
Shoofra samples is the three-story outlet and samples store of the famous Shoofra shoe brand. The store itself is in Dizengoff street, possibly Tel Aviv’s most famous street of all, and we were asked to design the ground floor. That’s the one you see walking down the street, and the one whose job it is to catch your eye in a second. It’s a pretty small space - only 22 sqm - which is why we had to find a way to use it wisely. We call it an ‘all-over’ solution: it’s system that hugs the store and utilizes all the space it can to properly showcase the brand’s items. We built cubed cardboard boxes with wooden reinforcements and filled the room with them, occasionally with some cool graphics and color injections. Overall we built 224 of those cubes, using 306 polycarbonate pieces, 1792 pine reinforcements, 3600 meters of cardboard and 10,752 staples. And it was worth every single one.
